Step into a hauntingly immersive post-apocalyptic world built in Unreal Engine 5. Set in an abandoned city overtaken by nature, players must navigate the eerie remains of a once-thriving metropolis — now reduced to decaying skyscrapers, overgrown streets, and shattered buildings. The world is silent, except for the unknown dangers lurking in the shadows.
This prototype focuses on environmental storytelling, atmosphere, and level design, offering a glimpse into a larger vision. Players explore a vast open-world setting where the remnants of civilization tell stories of what was lost. The overgrown cityscape, detailed with broken-down vehicles, crumbling structures, and nature reclaiming its territory, sets the stage for an intense survival experience.
I was responsible for the level prototyping, world-building, implementing mechanisms, lighting, post-processing, and designing an immersive environment that conveys the desolation and beauty of a lost world.
The project also serves as a technical showcase of large-scale world creation in Unreal Engine 5, demonstrating the full pipeline from initial layout through blockout to final asset placement.
